Please Note: Mica can be cut with standard scissors. As you can see the smaller each multiple section pieces of your retainer frame is the most acceptable and economical. When multiple pieces are required it is suggested that you over lap each of the pieces of mica. For example the CEMI stoves have a four section frame but when you remove the frame you discover two small pieces at the top and one larger piece across the bottom. In this instance it is much more economical to use four smaller pieces of mica rather than the original configuration. Clipping the corners where the bolt passes through. The CEMI requires 8—4X6 pieces spotted = $48, whereas the original configuration 2-8X6 and 4-4X6 pieces spotted = $58. The smaller the combined pieces will be more economical. Larger pieces take longer to get also, allow up to 2 weeks+ for larger pieces. |
